The exterior is very inviting, very modern. There will be lots of foreigners both inside and outside the establishment, considering it’s in BGC, this wasn’t much of a surprise. It’s all glass windows with black thin borders. Everything was clean and neat. We were drawn by the chill vibe that St. Louis exudes. If you have dogs, you’ll definitely love this place! Your DOGS ARE ALLOWED IN the shop! It’s of course air conditioned and the staff will be happy to serve them ice cold water.
They have an ice cream display which you can taste test. They didn’t have a wide array of choices (only 16) but each one of their flavors were delicious, some more than others. St. Louis serves breakfast all day from 8am and even have fresh pastries and cakes perfect to pair with their coffee.
They have people from Australia who work the floor and sometimes go behind the counter. They’re very accommodating, even going out of their way to make your stay comfortable. They’re very approachable and wouldn’t mind chatting with you for a while if the shop isn’t full. They have such great stories to tell. There are Filipino staff as well which were also very delightful to interact with.
We went here just to have ice cream and coffee since we’ve already had breakfast elsewhere. Yes, I said breakfast. Ice cream and coffee are things we think can be eaten anywhere and anytime of the day. Don’t you agree? 🙂
We ordered their affogato. It was great coffee, specially with a scoop of their vanilla ice cream on top *heaven* (Php 220 each). We also ordered a 2 scoop ice cream valued at Php 200. We had the Cafe and Peanut Butter Nutella. The Cafe ice cream is essentially coffee ice cream but it was one of the good kinds. You know when you take a bite and immediately you feel that tingly comforting sensation down your spine? That’s when you know it’s the good kind.
There were loads of selections from their menu including tasty food for breakfast, lunch, merienda, and dinner. A friend of mine told me to try their churros that’s to be dipped in warm chocolate. It sounded to orgasm-worthy but I wasn’t able to try them. I’ll be sure to come and try some. If you ever do try them, be sure to tell me how it went. 🙂
